The Sword of Rakash (Part 2)

Along the Andreenid coastline a young boy walked in the warm sand of the beach. Endo, the young boy had not strayed too far from his coastal home before he was cast away by his inner thoughts. As the boy pondered, he immersed himself in the wet sand as the sea's tide reseeded. Endo did not want to leave during his lesson being given to him by Ahktar yet he felt that was what was needed. For before he was offered the chance to control his monster side he was warned by Ahktar the punitive measure of having the ID Disc shut his mind off for him. Fortunately, Endo was able to control his monster side as not to have the ID Disc placed upon him. Endo feared the disc because it numbed his mind but not his awareness as he could somewhat feel as well as hear his surroundings yet was unable to act. Endo used his fear of the device to control his anger fueled rage that transformed him into an irrational monster.

Another fear for Endo was if he ever hurt Ahktar in a fit of rage caused by his monster-self. For in the weeks of living in the world and not just confinement inside a lab, the young Endo was eternally grateful to Ahktar his teacher. It was just confusing for the Endo to understand why Ahktar shirked the disciplines of Gar-Shan law in the ways that he did. Endo did not want his mentor to be disciplined for his heresy. Much in the same way that Endo himself did not want to lose control of his actions.

Though for now Endo was content in taking Ahktars option for a respite. It was a sound solution for Endo to collect his thoughts on the beach. Endo, who was now outside on the beach could alter hi own prspective as well as mood in one of his faorite pastimes that of combing the beach for its beauty. Despite not having his collectors kit which had been offeredt o him, Endo could admire the trinkets left behind the tide. As Endo observed in great detail as he strolled in the wet sand all the seashell's diverse shapely colors.

It did not take long for Endo to become so engaged with the baubles left behind from the sea to not notice the outline of a very large figure washed ashore not far ahead of him.

Ahktar now stood on the front porch of his cabin overlooking the Ocean of Gnarl. While still in his guise as an old man Ahktar turned in the direction where he last saw his son from inside the cabin. Ahktar quickly noticed the humanoid figure on the beach that was not far from his son. Without a second thought of what action to take Ahktar grabbed a walking stick that was leant up on a chair and rushed out to the beach! Hurriedly, Akhtar ran with his bare feet on the warm sand towards his son! As he got closer, Ahktar slowed himself to a standstill close behind his son who now was shifting his hands in the cool ocean waters feeling the seashells. Ahktar crept close enough on the warm sand to extend his walking stick out to tap onto Endo's left shoulder to get him to turn around.

As soon as Endo turned around, he was then firmly grabbed by Ahktar who pulled the boy towards him for protection. When Endo looked up at his father for an answer all he saw was Ahktar holding up his index finger to his lips indicating silence. Then Ahktar pointed in the direction of the figure so his son would look. This was a moment in which Ahktar was unintentionally teaching his son to be cautious. Hopefully, his son would not fail the test as Ahktar saw what the figure was though was uncertain as to its state. As Endo turned in the direction of where his father pointed, he was a gasp but made no noise, thankfully.

A gurgling sound from the body became audible, then some sounds like words could be heard. Ahktar pulled his son to the side where motioned for him to stay while he crept forward. Endo stood still in compliance to his father's instructions.

Immediately, Ahktar knew what the creature he saw lying on its face in the sand was before him. It was the cousin of the Gar-Shan, the creature which hunted the Gar-Shan at the Great Sea, it was Merphibian male. It was as if the book Ahktar was reading to his son had jumped from its pages in some prophetical sense.

The Merphibian was alive as it gargled through its razor-sharp teeth... the words no... I will go...no...

The creature was pleading for his life to go somewhere for who, what and why was a complete mystery. Though what Ahktar needed to know was this creature going to become a threat to him and his son once it awakened.

Ahktar waved at his son to come closer before he backed up a little to close the gap between them. To Ahktars relief, the boy passed a second real life test as he came cautiously over.

Ahktar knelt down to whisper into his son's ear for him to bring a fishing net as well as a bucket of fish from one of the barrels as well as four steak and a mallet.

Endo walked off a good way back to the cabin before dashing to get the supplies that his father needed.
