First Contact (Prologue)
An explosive sound erupted, its ominous voice traveled at a heavy pace, increasing in tone! The vibrato of the eruption increased in waves across the planet of its origin! All across the planet was felt the eruptive force as if in no uncertain terms to warn the planet of a threat which in its wake shattered mountain tops, carried ocean waves to crashing effect on countless shores as well as alarm creatures of all variety from birds, pack animals, predator's as well as humanoids dwelling as far and reaching as small villages to large palacious citadels! Eventually the widespread soundwave ceased in intensity until it finally ceased entirely.
In the aftermath of the explosive sound all were curious and awake to its impact. In particular a solitary woman dressed in a fantastical feathery plumage of gold, white and blue with a headdress designed as a keen falcon.
The woman was miniature in stature compared to the room that she inhabited. In particular, perched above the woman's head there was erected into the dark wall an organ system. The pipes as shown appeared within a ribcage designed as calcified bone.
"Show me the sound!", the woman looking up pronounced as she waved her hand to help produce the effect from the giant system of organs above her.
What was produced was indeed the initial sound of the explosion heard around the planet. The decibel level of the original explosion was greatly decreased in order not to bring down the walls around it.
In addition to the sound's loudness, its frequency began to change until the sound itself began to become distorted. Then the distorted sound's frequency began to slow.
The woman in the falcon's headdress looked on with anticipation as an image started to form below the giant organ.
Then as the sound of chiming bells rang out an image was shown of a city in ruins!
"Still the image", the woman shouted at the organ above her.
Then as the woman spread her winged arms out a tomb of a book which sat on a podium appeared before her!
Then with another gesture as if to open the book up while turning to the right page without a touch the book was spread apart!
The women's eyes widened as she gasped upon seeing what was shown on the page of the book.
In both the image in the air as well as the book was shown a black tower as if in a before and after comparison.
Underneath, the illustration of the book was read a passage out loud," If ever the seven bells of Morutoria ever ring again evil would return to Eternos and the city itself would crumble to pieces."
"The book as well the image that you see before you ring as soundly as what the bells have foretold.", a voice from nowhere assured the woman her convictions.
"Thank you, great spirit, of Grayskull.", The woman said in reply.
"You have prepared for this day; I know that you are ready. Though your time inside this castle has kept you sheltered, you have had access to the knowledge within. A great knowledge that can only be dreamt of in many lifetimes.". the spirit answered back.
"You have been a great guide to me, great spirit.", the woman said mournfully.
"Despair not, you have not heard the last from me. For that your destiny beckons you away from our home you must know that you shall succeed. For you as the Sorceress are the sole inhabitant of Castle Grayskull now.", the spirit imparts.
Then for a long silent moment the Sorceress as she was addressed asks, "Spirit...are you still here?"
Already knowing the answer to her question, the Sorceress soaks in the silence before she vanishes herself, along with the podium with its book laid on it to somewhere else. Despite her departure the image cast by the organ above the room still displays the tattered tower which stands amongst the ruins of a darkened city in another place in time.
